Cacao & Sultana Biscuits (Gluten & Sugar free)

Here is a perfect afternoon snack!


1 1/4 cups buckwheat flour

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking soda

 2 tsp cacao powder

1/2 cup coconut oil (or butter) melted

1/2 cup raw honey

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1 egg

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

  • 1/2 cup sultanas

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 degress, and line your tray

    2. Stir the flour, salt, baking soda and cacao powder together. Set aside.

    3. Melt the coconut oil, then add the honey.  

    4. Stir in the vanilla extrac and egg, mixing until well combined.

    5. Slowly mix in the flour mixture, stirring until just incorporated.

    6. Fold in the chocolate chips and sultanas.

    7. Use a spoon to measure your amount and mould into little balls. Place on your tray. Lightly press each biscuit  with a fork.

    8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden around the edges. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
